NOTE: Be very careful when using mail merge for emails as each country has its own anti-spam requirements that you must comply with. Also, you may find that your ISP may block your account if you try to email more than 50 emails at one time. This is not a problem in ERP but your internet provider could see it as spam therefore running the risk of being black listed. You must advise your provider and use a Mass Mail Company, then use the Setup Host tab to set this up.

*Now select your group for the mail merge eg Customers
*Then choose your list from the drop down menu or filter on this list to give you the customers you wish to send the mail merge to

*Then choose the Template from the drop down menu - this template can be altered by going to:

*Templates
*Customer Mail Merge - design this template to how you want it to look before you do your mail merge

Overview
In business, budgets are created to act as a forecast or prediction for the future based on the skill and knowledge of the people that create them. To be of benefit, the budgets must then be accurately tracked against actual figures to ensure that the company is on track. If for example, the expenses blow out - then the management of the company will need to see that and act on it quickly. The budget vs actual tool allows for exactly that.

For the benefit of this manual only a very few transactions have been recorded. If no figures are appearing in your budget vs actual report - check your date ranges, departments selector and if these are accurate - then the reason no figures are appearing is that no transactions have occurred on the accounts that are features in the budget.

How To View the Budget vs Actual report

*Click on the Budget_vs_Actual button on the budget tab
*The Budget vs Actual report will open

*Select the budget that you wish to compare against actual figures from the drop down menu
*Ensure your date ranges and department selectors are set accurately

For more information about date ranges see date ranges inGlobal features

For more information on departments see departments in the general area of the manual

*The data that fills the report now will match the budget selected, date range and department(s) selected.
*All lists can be customised (See Customising lists)
these accounts. For more information see accounts, sales and purchases/bills

*You can see the name and description of the budget
*The names of the two variation columns (in this example aggressive and conservative)

example 12 entries - for twelve months

*And the start date and end date for each period that has been created.

*You can now alter or change any one of these periods by double clicking on your selection. In this example the

budget period number seven has been selected. (ie the seventh month of this particular budgeting period)

*You will see that the figures are all increased based on the 10% increase we put in with the budget variation
*You will also see displayed, the period number that you have selected and the date ranges that this period number

refers to.

You can now change or alter the figures for that particular month (or other time period as defined in your budget definition)

This allows you the flexibility to keep your budget up to date with any known or unusual circumstances. For example you may know that in this particular month, you always have a quiet period, and therefore the sales figures will be down and so then will the expenses. You can change the figures by clicking into the field you wish to change, make your change, and then selecting the save button.

Overview
The Budget variation allows you to select an entire budget or a specific period within that budget and either change or copy the selection you make. You can select to either choose specific accounts for the budget or period or alternatively choose to alter all account entrie's for that budget. This feature within the program allows you to keep up to date with all of the budgets and entries within those budgets. If something changes within the company - those changes will need to be reflected in the budget. If we won the big account - we may need to increase anticipated sales, if we sold the warehouse (examples only) we may need to decrease outgoings and expenses. A budget variation allows those changes to be entered and update future forecasts and predictions.

How To Enter a budget variation.

*Select the 'Budget Variation' button displayed within the Budget Tab
*The Budget Variation screen appears

*Budget field has a drop down that allows you to select from the list the budget that you wish to perform the variation

on.

*As you select the budget from the drop down list, the interval, start date and end date will auto fill based on the

entries created for that budget in budget definitions

*You will then need to select the action you are performing, you can select either change or copy
*Change - will allow you to make alterations to an already existing entry
*Copy will allow you to duplicate the already existing entry
*Are you changing or copying for just this period? Or for the whole budget?
*Just this period will either copy or record changes for the selected period only
*The whole budget will either copy or record changes for the entire budget

*If you select 'copy' and whole 'budget', the following screen appears for additional information
*These additional fields allow you to create a new name for the budget that you are creating, and a new description.

here is also a field that allows you to select a starting date for this copied budget.

*If you select 'copy' and 'period', the following screen appears for additional information
*These fields allow you to select a specific period from the budget and copy the whole period across to another

period.

The purpose of this as an example - if you have created all the entries for a year - and you know that the three months over Christmas are always quiet - you can change one of the months (periods) and copy the figures across to the other two periods without having to re - enter the figures

*You can then select the tick box marked choose accounts.
*This will allow you to decide if you want to record a variation for only certain accounts within this budget definition

or alternatively by NOT selecting the choose accounts option you are recording changes to all accounts that have been set up in this definition.

*If you have selected change, and budget - and then choose accounts. This screen allows you to make changes

to the specific accounts of your choice for the entire budget.

*You can choose to increase or decrease by either a dollar amount or a percentage amount.
*To save these changes click on the apply button.

*If you have selected change, and period - and then choose accounts the following screen appears
*This screen allows you to make changes to the specific accounts of your choice for the distinct period of your

choice.

*You can choose to increase or decrease by either a dollar amount or a percentage amount.
*Name field refers to the name that you wish to call this particular budget
*Description field refers to how this Budget definition is to be described
*Start Date is a date picker allowing you to determine the date that this budget definition comes into effect
*Period Selector allows you to input how many 'intervals' this budget will be created for, i.e. If you select an interval <br> of monthly and then 12 periods you are designing this Budget for the next 12 months and will display monthly figures.

*Interval allows you to select from Daily, Weekly, Fortnightly, Monthly, Quarterly, Half Yearly and Yearly
*End Date will automatically fill in based on the intervals and the periods selected
*Departments allows you to select one or all of the departments (cost centres) that this particular budget will apply to.
*To select a new department simply place a tick in the active box next to the department you wish to select.

*The Customisable Amount fields allow you to set parameters on the Budget. For example you may decide to set a plus <br> or minus 10% for variation on the budget, as a default the fields are labeled Aggressive and Conservative. An example <br> of this may be - we are budgeting on $10,000 in sales this month. You decide that if we really push (get aggressive) we <br> may do 10% more $11,000 but if we just coast (be conservative) we may only do $9,000. <br>

*The Visible Flag will enable the description to be seen when we are entering a new budget

Overview
The EFT function enables your Company to process funds ready for electronic transfer. This function will create an ABA file ready to be processed by your bank. You must register with your bank which will issue you with an APCA number to enable you to access the EFT system. EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) is an efficient means of processing single or multiple payments via a direct bank transfer.

How To Use the EFT function

*To load payments into the EFT screen, you must first process the required Payment/s and select the Add to EFT tick box on each payment screen.
*Bank Details of the recipient must be entered into ERP to ensure the payment can be processed via EFT. Refer to New Supplier for details on entering bank account details as per below.
*Select the EFT button from within the Banking Tab
*Ensure your Bank Account EFT data is completed fully and correctly in accordance with your Banks requirements. APCA Number must be that supplied by your Bank. BSB and Account number must relate to that of the correct Account Name for the data to load into your banking program. If all the information is not correct the file will not import successfully into your Bank file. Refer to Accounts for details on where to fill this information out.
*Select the Bank Account you are making the EFT payments from, e.g. Bank. Note that all the data entered into the Bank Account set-up, has auto loaded.
*Select the&nbsp;Transaction Description from the drop-down list, e.g. Supplier, if we are making Supplier payments. If it is payroll that you are processing then select Payroll. The Options button allows you to alter the default EFT Options you set in the Account screen.
*Select the Supplier payments to load into this EFT transmission, by double-clicking in the Apply field next to the relevant Suppliers. Alternatively, if you wish to pay all Suppliers in the list you can select the Select All button.

Note: This will load the Bank Account details as per the account you are paying from.

*Once you have selected all the payments you are making in this EFT run, select theExport button.
*Windows Save As screen will load for you to name and save the file to a designated folder, ready for importation into your On-Line Banking program.
*Name the file into the required folder and select Save.
*The file is now available for you to import into your On-Line Banking as per the standard import procedure for your particular Banking software.
*If you receive any errors upon importing the file, you should first check that the data you have entered into your Bank Account in ERP is correct, as per the exact Bank Account details given to you by your Bank. If the problem persists you should refer to your Banking software helpline for assistance, as it is usually a case of an incorrect APCA number or some other account detail is not quite correct. Your Bank should identify any inconsistencies quickly.
Overview
The Bank Account Report button takes you straight into your Bank Account Report instead of selecting it via the Report Selector. The Bank Account Report displays a list of all transactions relating to all of your Bank Accounts entered into ERP. Here you can view the total balance of 'All' accounts, or 'Individual' accounts simply by utilising the Filter function. The Report can be viewed by Date Range or Custom Range, and you can view the reconciled quantities as a combined total with the un-reconciled, or as a stand-alone figure. To allow more flexibility you can also Export the list to a spreadsheet for further manipulation if required.

To create Bank Accounts within ERP, refer to Accounts for instructions on the correct set-up.

How To view and use the Bank Account Report
Select the 'Bank Account Report' button within the Banking tab.

The Bank Accounts Report displays as a list of all transactions relating to all Bank Accounts in your ERP database.

*Standard ERP functions like Filtering, Searching, Date Range selection and Sorting apply in the Bank Accounts Report.

*Select the 'Show Reconciled Details' radio button to display the reconciled column that marks the items reconciled with a tick.

*Select the Date Range required, e.g. 1/7/06 to 20/12/06
*This will load all transactions for all bank accounts between these dates. Note that with the date range expanded there are now transactions displayed for the Payroll Bank account.
*The total balance is displayed at the bottom of the screen beneath the 'Amount' column. To display the balance for each individual account, use the Filter function to load the Account you wish to view.
*Select the Account you want the Total Amount for and 'Add to Filter' then 'Execute Filter', e.g. Payroll Bank.

Note: The only Account that is listed is the one you filtered on, and the balance of this account
is displayed at the bottom of the 'Amount' column.

*The 'Total Records' notation has been altered accordingly, i.e. 2

*Select the 'Clear Filter' button to return to the full list of Accounts.
*Drill into (double-click) any amount to load the transaction it relates to, e.g. Double clicking on £2,690.00 will load

&nbsp; &nbsp; the Customer Payment relating to this transaction.

*The Bank Accounts Report is also Customisable; Exportable; and can be Printed as per the standard ERP functions for lists. Refer to Global Features for further instructions.

Overview
Reconciling your Bank Accounts regularly is essential to keeping good financial records. Reconciliations ensure the monies processed through your bank account/s, matches the data entered into your ERP database. NB - ERP discourages you from reconciling a future dated transaction as this can put your accounts out of balance. In the rare circumstance where a future dated transaction needs to be reconciled untick the Filter On Date box otherwise any transactions dated after the statement date will not be available to reconcile.

The ERP reconciliation process has been designed to ensure efficiency and ease of use. All reconcilable transactions processed within ERP that affect the Bank Account, i.e. Customer payments (deposits), Supplier payments and cheques, other deposits, payments and journal entries, are automatically loaded into the reconciliation screen upon selection of the relevant bank account and Statement Date. From here it is a simple task of clicking to tick off items appearing on your Bank Statement. Reconciliations can be completed (saved) once the difference between the cleared and ending balance is $0, or held pending completion, ensuring correct figures are maintained. ERP produces detailed reports on what has been reconciled and what has not been reconciled upon the completion of any reconciliation.

How To Do a Reconciliation

*Select the Reconcile button within the Banking tab

*Select the Bank Account you are reconciling, from the drop-down menu.
*All deposits and withdrawals related to the selected bank account will load.
*The Opening Balance will also load. This should match the opening balance of the Bank Statement you are about to Reconcile

*Enter the Statement Number as per the Bank Statement you are reconciling. The list of reconcilable transactions

&nbsp;&nbsp; will change to those up to or equal to the statement date to ensure post-dated transactions are not reconciled incorrectly.

*Select the Correct Date as per the Bank Statement you are reconciling.
*Enter the Ending Balance as per the Bank Statement you are reconciling.
*You are able to sort&nbsp; each column by clicking on the header, e.g. 'Date. The hand will indicate whether the sort

&nbsp;&nbsp; is Up or Down.

*To search for a particular value, enter the amount into the Search Amount field, e.g. $588.00
*Select Go
*The value you are searching for will be highlighted.

*Select the transactions that have appeared on this Bank Statement by selecting the OK tick box beside the

&nbsp; &nbsp; relevant transactions.

*You are able to place any reconciliation on Hold. This will save the reconciliation as per the current status,

&nbsp; &nbsp; allowing you to complete it later.

*Upon selecting the 'Reconcile' button again, you will be prompted with the following screen.
*Select the reconciliation you wish to continue with. There may be more than one that you have placed on hold.
*Select OK

NB: You are required to enter your Ending Balance each time you re-load the reconciliation.

Continue marking off the presented transactions as per the Bank Statement, until you have reconciled every transaction on the Statement to the data entered into ERP. By marking transactions off in this way, you will clearly identify if there are any transactions that have not been entered into ERP but have been presented at the Bank. Once all transactions are entered and the Difference is $0. you will be able to save the reconciliation.

<br>

*Select Save
*Select Yes to print the Reports. Or select No if you do not wish to print the reports.
*Select Print to print just the Reconciliation Report
*Select Print Report to print just the Non Reconciled Report
*Two Reports will be printed - Reconciliation Report and Not Reconciled Report

<br> Shortcuts

*Select Mark All to reconcile all the transactions displayed. This can be a useful shortcut if you have more

&nbsp; &nbsp; items presented (appearing on the bank statement) than unpresented. In this case Select All and de-select the&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <br>

&nbsp; &nbsp; unpresented items.

*Select UnMark All to de-select all the marked items.

*Completed Reconciliations can be found in the Reconciliation List.

*To delete any Reconciliation, open the relevant one and select the Deleted tick-box at the bottom right of the screen.
*Select Save

NB: You can only delete Reconciliations in sequence, i.e. last one first, then back in date order. e.g. If you need to delete a Reconciliation completed at the end of August, and it is now November and you have completed two reconciliations since then, you will have to delete the last two reconciliations completed to be able to delete the incorrect one back in August.

This rule applies to all transactions within ERP. Upon completion of a transaction the previous step is automatically locked-down. e.g. A Customer makes a payment on an Invoice, you cannot delete the Invoice if a payment has been applied. You must first delete the Payment to be able to delete the Invoice.

*The deleted Reconciliation can now be found in the Bank Reconciliations List under the Deleted radio button.

Selecting the Accounts Reports icon will open the Report Selector menu displaying the list of Accounts related reports.

The main financial accounting statements
The purpose of financial accounting statements is mainly to show the financial position of a business at a particular point in time and to show how that business has performed over a specific period.

The three main financial accounting statements that help achieve this aim are:

#The profit and loss account for the reporting period
#A balance sheet for the business at the end of the reporting period
#A cash flow statement for the reporting period

A balance sheet shows at a particular point in time what resources are owned by a business ("assets") and what it owes to other parties ("liabilities"). It also shows how much has been invested in the business and what the sources of that investment finance were.

It is often helpful to think of a balance sheet as a "snap-shot" of the business - a picture of the financial position of the business at a specific point. Whilst this is a useful picture to have, every time an accounting transaction takes place, the "snap-shot" picture will have changed.

By contrast, the Profit and loss account provides a perspective on a longer time-period. If the balance sheet is a "digital snap-shot" of the business, then think of the profit and loss account as the "DVD" of the business' activities. The story of what financial transactions took place in a particular period - and (most importantly) what the overall result of those transactions was.

Not surprisingly, the Profit and loss account measures "profit".

What is profit?

Profit is the amount by which sales revenue (also known as "turnover" or "income") exceeds "expenses" (or "costs") for the period being measured.

How to Use Accounts Reports
*Select Accounts
*Select Accounts Reports

Accounts Reports Detail
*Account Types List - Lists the account types available to you when creating accounts.

*Balance Sheet - Full Balance Sheet as described above
*Bank Account Report - Full listing of postings to each bank account for a selected period including whether the transaction has been reconciled
*Cash Flow Forecast - Projection of future cash flow based on current creditor and debtor balances. e.g. What monies are due to be received/paid in the next week/month/quarter/year
*General Ledger - Listing of all transactions by account for a selected period with options for: Summary - Totals Only Details - Subtotals by transaction type Extra Details - Full transaction listing
*Profit/Loss - Full Profit &amp; Loss report as described above
*Profit &amp; Loss (By Period) - Full Profit &amp; Loss report with comparison periods (Month, Quarter or Year). e.g. you can compare income in the Profit and Loss for the current month, with revenue from the previous month.
*Profit &amp; loss Summary - Profit &amp; Loss Totals only with comparison by various period selections from daily up to a full year.
*Statements - Listing of Invoices and Payments that appear on statements for the selected date range. See Print Statements
*Summary Sheet- Summary of financial information including current Balance sheet total, aged payable and receivables and Profit and Loss comparisons for prior periods of Last Week, Last Month, Last 3 Months and Last 12 Months
*Tax Summary - Listing of tax codes and corresponding amounts for a selected date range
*Transaction Journal&nbsp;- Listing of all transactions for a selected period of time with detail of all associated account postings
*Trial Balance - Listing of accounts and their balances as well as a total of debits and credits for a period of time. This is a snapshot of balances to demonstrate that all account postings balance.
*Unassigned Tax Codes - Listing of any transactions that have been created without a tax code. A tax code is essential on all transactions to ensure BAS or VAT returns can include all necessary transactions.
*Unpaid Bills - This is a simplified creditors report that has the advantage of being faster to produce than a full Accounts Payable Report
The Trial Balance is a list of your Company's Accounts contained in the General Ledger, and their balances as from a selected date.

The Trial Balance is displayed in a four column format with Debit and Credit columns displaying totals both Ex GST and Inc GST. All the debit balances are listed in one column and all the credit balances are listed in another.

The Trial Balance Report is prepared after all the transactions for the period have been Journalised and posted to the General Ledger. A Trial Balance is run generally at the end of a period to identify if any adjustments to accounts are required or if any errors have occurred in any of the accounts. If all postings to accounts and Journal Entry's are error free the total of Credit balances will equal the total of the Debit Balances.

*Trial Balance can be customised (See Customising lists)
Overview
Definition

A Balance Sheet is a statement of the total assets and liabilities of an organisation at a particular date - usually the <br>last date of a financial or accounting period.

The balance sheet is split into two parts:

(1) A statement of fixed assets, current assets and the liabilities (sometimes referred to as "Net Assets")

(2) A statement showing how the Net Assets have been financed, for example through share capital and retained <br>profits.

Legislation requires the Balance Sheet to be included in the published financial accounts of all limited companies. In <br>reality, all other organisations that need to prepare accounting information for external users (e.g. charities, clubs, <br>partnerships) will also produce a Balance Sheet since it is an important statement of the financial affairs of the <br>organisation.

A Balance Sheet does not necessarily "value" a company, since assets and liabilities are shown at "historical cost" <br>and some intangible assets (e.g. brands, quality of management, market leadership) are not included.

How to use the Balance Sheet

*&nbsp;Select the Accounts tab
*&nbsp;Select the Balance Sheet button
*&nbsp; The Balance Sheet Report will display

Set Date

Select the 'As Of' date you require (top right)

Set Departments

A Balance Sheet can be obtained for each or all departments or Cost Centres within your Company Database. The <br>Balance Sheet will open by default to display "All" Departments (Cost Centres).

Un-tick the "All" field to select a specific "Department" (Cost Centre) for your Balance Sheet Report, if required.

Drilling into the Balance Sheet

The Accounts that appear in the Balance Sheet that display an Account Balance (Accounts that are not Header <br>Accounts), can be drilled into, to reveal further detail. This will open the Balance Transaction List of the related <br>transactions pertaining to that Account.

Refresh

The Refresh button will refresh and update the page with the latest information available. This is important if other <br>users have entered transactions into your ERP database while you have your Balance Sheet open.<br>

Overview
Introduction to the Profit and Loss (P&amp;L) Report
The Task of Accounting is Measuring and Reporting Profit i.e. being accountable

The main task of accounts, is to monitor and measure profits.

Profit = Revenue less Costs

So monitoring profit also means monitoring and measuring revenue and costs. There are two parts to this:

#Recording financial data. This is the ‘book-keeping’ part of accounting.
#Measuring the result. This is the ‘financial’ part of accounting. If we say ‘profits are high’ this begs the question ‘high compared to what?’ (You can look at this idea in more detail when covering Ratio Analysis)

Profits are ‘spent’ in three ways.

#Retained for future investment and growth.
#Returned to owners e.g. a ‘dividend’.
#Paid as tax.

Parts of the Profit_and_Loss Report

The Profit & Loss Report aims to monitor profit. It has two parts.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 1. The Trading Account.

This records the money in (revenue) and out (costs) of the business as a result of the business’ ‘trading’ i.e. buying and selling. This might be buying raw materials and selling finished goods; it might be buying goods wholesale and selling them retail. The figure at the end of this section is the Gross Profit.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 2. The&nbsp;Profit and Loss Account&nbsp;

This starts with the Gross Profit and adds to it any further costs and revenues, including overheads. These further costs and revenues are from any other activities not directly related to trading. An example is income received from investments.

Uses of the Profit and Loss Report.

*The main use is to monitor and measure profit, as discussed above. This assumes that the information recorded is accurate. Significant problems can arise if the information is inaccurate, either through incompetence or deliberate fraud.
*Once the profit/loss has been accurately calculated, this can then be used for comparison i.e. judging how well the business is doing compared to itself in the past, compared to the managers’ plans and compared to other businesses.

How to use the Profit and Loss Report
Click on the Accounts Tab

Select the Profit_and_Loss Button and the P&amp;L Report will display.

Selecting by Department
Set the Profit and Loss Report by Department

Select the Department required from the drop down menu<br>Select All Departments by ticking the "All" box. You will notice that each department has been added as a separate column to the P&amp;L Report. And the P&amp;L now displays all departments from the drop down list.

The Total Amount column will always display regardless of the selection of Departments.

Using the Radio Button Options
Three options can be selected using the Radio Buttons to Exclude Tax, Include Tax and Both

The default setting in ERP is to "Exclude Tax" in the headings so in each of the columns for each Department and Total Amounts the suffix (EX) is displayed.

Selecting the radio button to "Includes Tax" ensures that in the headings of each of the columns for each Department and Total Amounts the&nbsp;suffix (INC) is displayed.

Select the radio button for "Both", and all of the columns for both (EX) and (INC) is displayed for each Department and the Total Amounts

Refresh
If other Users are creating transactions within ERP you can use the refresh button to update the P&amp;L Report to display <br><br>

Journal entries are the logging of business transactions and their monetary value into the Chart of Accounts of the accounting journal as either debits or credits.
Journal entries are usually backed up with a piece of paper i.e. a receipt, a bill, an invoice, or some other direct record of the transaction, making them easy to record and to keep a track record of each transaction. Many companies perform journal entries at month end, e.g. The transfer of Interest Charges for your Hire Items to an Interest account. These transactions can be completed using the Journal Entry screen.

Overview
<br>This button allows the user to create a new General Ledger, by account, for their Company. The process starts with the <br>setting up of your accounts within ERP. The accounts you set up will be used for collection of information on resource <br>usage for the purpose of capacity and trend analysis, cost allocation, auditing, and billing. Accounting management <br>requires that resources and consumption be measured, rated, assigned, communicated and recorded in the appropriate <br>accounts. You should seek Professional advice as to the set-up and structure of your Company Accounts from your<br>Accountant.

Types of Accounts
Accounts Payable: (AP) are Trade Accounts of businesses representing obligations to pay for goods and services <br> received.

Accounts Receivable: (AR) is a Current Asset representing money due for services performed or merchandise sold<br> on credit.

Capital/Equity: in economics can mean: factories, machines, and other man-made inputs into a production process. In <br> finance, Capital is monies and other property owned by a corporation or other enterprise used in transacting the<br> business.

Cheque or Savings: are Client Accounts maintained by banks, savings &amp; loan associations, credit unions, and mutual<br> savings banks that pay interest but cannot be used directly as money. These accounts let customers set aside a <br> portion of their liquid assets that could be used to make purchases. But to make those purchases, savings account <br> balances must be transferred to "transactions deposits" (or "checkable deposits"). With savings accounts you can <br> make withdrawals, but you do not have the flexibility of using cheques to do so, unless a cheque account is linked.<br> The Cheque or Savings account within 2 clicks allows you to track Debits and Credits relating to your business <br> transactions.

Cost of Goods Sold: (COGS) is a figure representing the cost of buying raw material and producing finished goods. Included <br> are precise factors, i.e. material and factory labour; as well as others that are variable, such as factory overheads.

Expense: Is the amount of assets or services used during a period. EXPENSES are the daily costs incurred in running and <br> maintaining a business.

Fixed Asset: are those assets of a permanent nature required for the normal conduct of a business, and which will not <br> normally be converted into cash during the ensuing fiscal period. For example, furniture, fixtures, land, and buildings <br> are all fixed assets. However, accounts receivable and inventory are not. Sometimes called Plant and Equipment.

Income: Is money received by a person or organisation because of effort (work), or from return on investments.

Long Term Liabilities: are liabilities of a business that are due in more than one year. An example of a long-term <br> liability would be a mortgage payable.

Other Asset: is an asset that is not normally part of a companies normal asset list.

Other Current Asset: is a Balance Sheet item that includes the value of non-cash assets due within one year. Other <br>Current Assets include accrued revenues and deferred expenses, which are recognised in allocating revenues <br>and expenses periodically. Prepayments in advance are also included in Other Current Assets.

Other Current Liability: is a Balance Sheet entry used by companies to group together current liabilities that are <br>not assigned to common liabilities such as debt obligations or Accounts Payable. Companies will group together <br>these Other Current Liabilities into one account on the Balance Sheet for the sake of simplicity.

Other Expense: defined as Other Expense Accounts for expenses not covered through regular operating or miscellaneous <br> expense accounts or cost of sales accounts.

Other Income: is income from activities that are not undertaken in the ordinary course of an Entity's business.

Current Assets: are those assets of a company that are reasonably expected to be realised in cash, or sold, or consumed <br> during the normal operating cycle of the business (usually one year). Such assets include Cash, Accounts Receivable <br> and monies due usually within one year, Short-term Investments, Inventory Asset, Un-deposited Funds, Voucher <br>Assets, Supplier Prepayments, Work in progress and prepaid expenses.

Current Liabilities: are liabilities to be paid within one year of the balance sheet date and include Payroll Liabilities, <br>Tax Payable, Vouchers, Customer Payments, Un-invoiced Purchase Orders and Un-invoiced Sales Orders.<br><br>
