Chart of Accounts

Is it clear that your Accounts within the Chart of Accounts can be viewed in a number of ways?

The Chart of Accounts list can be viewed in detailed list mode or Tree mode. The Chart of Accounts List displays the full
list of Accounts with related balances. You can view by Active Accounts, Inactive Accounts or All Accounts, by the
selected the required radio button. The "Chart of Accounts List" displays the following information fields for each account:

Account Number
Account Name
Account Type
Department the Account is assigned to
Balances of each Account Type and Account Balance
Banking information
Tax code information

In the 'Accounts List' you can view your Chart of Accounts. If you click on 'Tree mode' (circled on the far right top of the page),
all the accounts will be moved into their Account Type/Name with drop down plus (+) signs. Click on the Plus sign to view
all the accounts in their account type. Alternatively, when you are in Tree Mode you can click on the 'Expand All' (bottom left),
allowing the user to view all on-going accounts.

Merging Accounts

How to Merge Accounts

In some circumstances you may need to merge two accounts. It is not possible to simply change the name in the account
file as this is a unique identifyer for each record. You must create a new account with the new name and merge the old
account into it.

Select Accounts
Select Account List
Untick Tree Mode
Hold down the control key (Ctrl) and select the account name that you want to keep
Continue to hold down the control key and select the account you want merged into the first account
Once selected Right Click your mouse and select Merge
You will then get a message confirming
Select OK
