New page

Back up

You should have a strict backup schedule in place to ensure minimal loss of data in the event of a disaster such as Hardware failure,
power surges etc. It is recommended that an offsite storage of backups is used as an extra precaution. Backups can only be performed
when no other users are logged in.

How do you create a Backup?

Select Utilities Tab
Select Backup

The backup will automatically start unless other users are logged in. The backup file will be saved on the server at
c:\erp software\backup unless an alternative location has been nominated in Preferences>Utilities<LinkId=240>

Alternative Methods

There are some alternative ways to perform backups.

See "Backup_on_Last_Person_Exit"<LinkId=240>

From Programs Menu

Left mouse click on Start
All Programs
Select ERP Software
Select Server
Select Backup Manager
Select the Name of the database you wish to back up from the drop down list
Select Backup

How to you Restore a Backup?

Start=>left mouse click=>All programs=>ERP Software=>Server=>Backup Manager
Select the Database from the drop down menu
Select Restore Tab
Click on the backup that is to be restored (Always ensure a backup has been created and saved prior to performing a restore)
Select Restore
