Building For Stock
Which option on the Sales Order form creates an internal order for stock only?
Manufacturing a product is instigated by the creation of a Sales Order and the completion of the manufactured item triggers the production of an Invoice which is perfect for any product that is Made to Order.
Often however you want to Manufacture products to place Into Stock. In this case you don't want an invoice to be produced and don't want the sales order to show on sales reports. You do this by flagging the Sales Order as Internal
- To create an internal Sales Order create a New Internal Customer to load into the Sales Order E.g. Wharehouse
- Open a new Sales Order and select the newly created Internal Customer
- Tick the Internal Order Radio button
- Select the Product and Quantity that you want to be Manufactured for Stock and Save
