Product Code and Barcode
Product Code is a barcode symbol that is widely used for tracking trade items.
What is the Primary use for the Product Code? The product Code is unique to only one product so when searching for a product you will know exactly which product you want to select, ensuring you are ordering and charging out the correct product.
Product Code and Barcode - Do you know where to load Product codes and Barcodes against a product?
Main Menu
- Select Inventory
- Products Express List button.
- Double click your selected product
- Under the Miscellaneous tab
- Select the General tab
- You will find both the Product Code and Barcode on this tab
- Product Code and Barcodes can be entered when creating a product either by keying or scanning.
Barcodes can also be automatically created when creating a product by setting this preference in:
- Utilities
- Preferences
- Inventory Product Barcodes
They can be used:
- On Purchase Order
- In Stocktake
- When Barcode Picking
- POS
- Sales
