Chart of Accounts


Is it clear that your Accounts within the Chart of Accounts can be viewed in a number of ways?

The Chart of Accounts List can be viewed in detailed list mode or Tree Mode.

  • From theMain Menu  select the Accounts button to display The Chart of Accounts List with the full list of Accounts and related balances.
  • You can view by Active Accounts, Inactive Accounts, Accounts with Budget or All Accounts, by selecting the required radio button.
  • The Chart of Accounts List displays the following information fields for each account:
  • Account Number, Account Name, Account Type, Department, Balances of each Account Type, Account Balance, Banking and Tax code information
  • You can view yourChart of Accounts in either List mode or Tree mode.
  • Click on the Tree Mode box on the far right top of the page to view the Chart of Accounts Tree. The accounts will be moved into theirAccount Type/Name with drop down plus [+]</span signs. Click on the [+] sign to view all the accounts in their Account Type.
  • Alternatively, when you are in Tree Mode you can click on the bottom left Expand All button, allowing the user to view all on-going accounts.


Merging Accounts

How to Merge Accounts

In some circumstances you may need to Merge two accounts. It is not possible to simply change the name in the account file as this is a unique identifyer for each record. You must create a new account with the new name and merge the old account into it.

  • From the Main Menu select Accounts - Account List and untick Tree Mode.
  • Hold down the control key (Ctrl) and select the account name that you want to keep.
  • Continue to hold down the control key (Ctrl) and select the account you want merged into the first account.
  • Once selected Right Click  on the First account and select Merge from the displayed list.
  • You will then get a message confirming Select OK
