Overview
A Fixed Assets will eventually be disposed of, either after it has been depreciated to a zero value or at some point during the asset life. The disposal screen calculates the book value at the time of disposal.
How to use Disposal
- Select Fixed Assets Tab
- Select Fixed Assets List button
- Select the Fixed asset to be disposed of
- Select the Disposal tab
- Tick Disposal of Asset radio button
- Select Disposal Date from the drop down list for the Depreciation schedule you wish to use
- Enter the Sales Price
- Select the Calculate button
The Accumulated Depreciation and Book Value will be displayed for the date of disposal
