Must Have Processes
Which line must always have a Process assigned to it?
The Bill of Materials is a tree structure with a branch or sub-branch for each component or value that makes up the product. You have to DO SOMETHING to the components that make up the BOM in order for it to produce the product so at a Minimum you must have a process in the first line. That process will be Assembly.
- To Add a Process select the Inventory Module and then the Products List
- Select the Product and then the Manufacture Tab
- Add a process step to the top line by Double Clicking in the Process Steps column and selecting the Assembly processfrom the drop down list.
- Type in a Duration for this Process in hh:mm format
- Type in any Setup and Breakdown times required for this Process
- Select Save
