Overview

Resource: A Resource can be a person, a piece of equipment or a work space. Work Processes are allocated to a resource which ensures that processes are not scheduled at a time when there are insufficient resources to complete them.

How to use production Resource

  • Select the Manufacturing tab.
  • Select the Resource button (to create a new Resource) or Resource List to view/edit an existing resource.

Fields available are:

  • Resource Name - the unique identifier for the resource.
  • Description - you can further describe the resource here.
  • Setup Time - the number of hours to set up the resource each day before starting the process.
  • Breakdown Time - the number of hours per day to break down or shut down the resource.
  • Hourly Labour Rate - the labour rate you offer on this resource to workers or employees.
  • Hourly Overhead Rate - the extra expense or overhead incurred in this resource on hourly basis. For example, Electricity for electronic cutters.
  • Capacity - I available on daily basis from Sunday to Saturday. You can mark active by clicking on your production day and inactive on the days the production is not done. You can enter the total capacity hours for a resource and can also mention the start time for each day. Capacity is usually calculated on the number of hours and the employees. For Example, in the Cutting Resource two workers work 8 hours a day from Monday to Friday. The capacity would then be for Cutting resource is 2 x 8 = 16 hours daily.
