Overview
SMS List: To access SMS List, go to Utilities Module and click SMS List button.
This list gives you a complete history of the correspondence with your contacts through SMS. You can track who you have sent the SMS to from your contact list.
The search option F5, F6, and F7 is there for your ease if you want to search for a particular SMS or contact. You can select the search criteria from search column or you can click on any column and do you require search.
You can search all the SMS sent over a certain time frame by managing the dates from the top right.
If you want to check email on different periodical duration then click on the drop down menu above date. This option will help you to track all the SMS correspondence over a certain period of time. For Example you want to search all the SMS history of Previous Financial Year, or First Quarter or This Quarter etc, then by selecting any all the SMS of that period will appear.
Customise: By clicking on this tab you can customise your SMS List columns accordingly.
Export: You can export the SMS list to Excel Spreadsheets by clicking on this tab.
New: You can create a new entry.
Print: This tab will print out the SMS list.
Resend: If you want to resend an SMS, simply click on this tab.
How to Setup SMS Setup
- Go to Utilities Module.
- Select Preferences.
- Select Messaging.
- In the SMS section, enter User Name; Password and Phone Number from which you will send the SMS.
- Tick SMS to enable it.
- Click SMS Rates: This will give you a list of SMS Rates. Rates will vary for the selected service depending on where the SMS is coming from, which Telcom company you are using and where the SMS is going.
This SMS feature can be used to update about sales, picking, delivery etc.
In preferences of Messaging, you can write the text that you want to send via SMS. Right clicking in SMS Text field will give you options to ass.
The SMS can be sent from any transaction window by clicking Print, and where this SMS Send tab is available. Prior to this, the SMS setup details must be defined in preferences.
