Overview
The concept around Unallocated Batch Sales is to do the allocation of a finished product, so we want to take the unallocated batches and allocate them to the finished job.
So from the created sales order, altering the allocation of a BOM product or a batch type product will in tern create unallocated batches. So for example you originally allocated 5 items to a specific batch and you go back to that same sales order and alter the batch product ordered from 5 to say 7, you will then have 2 products that are unallocated. This is where Unallocated Batch Sales comes in. This allows the BOM to be left alone and the finished amount to vary.
So from the Manufacturing module, click on Unallocated Batch Sales List to view. Then select the product you would like to allocate by double clicking on the product column or selecting the product with one mouse click and then clicking NEW.
This opens the Sale Line Batch Allocation card where you then proceed to click on NEW at the bottom where you can then enter a new batch number if you choose (otherwise ERP will auto generate one) and then selecting the Quantity. desired. Click save and repeat process if needed.
Once complete click Allocated and save to show that all unallocated batches have been allocated to this finished job. Also from within the Sale Line Batch Card by clicking Show Preview and print, this allows you to print a scan-able barcode for this batch.
