Do you understand how the CRM and Marketing modules link directly to Sales?
When you create a Lead from the Marketing Contact / Telemarketing areas then proceed to add 'Actions' to the Lead, some of these 'Actions', i.e. Quote, Sales Orders, and Invoices feed directly to Sales.
Create a New Lead In the 'Action/Follow Up grid, add a 'Quote' as the Action The Quote form will load for you to create your quote A Quote can then be converted into a Sales Order or Invoice If Quote is converted to a Sales Order, then this can be converted into an Invoice As per above, a Sales Order or an Invoice can be selected as an 'Action'
