Assigning Tills
What benefit would assigniong a till to a specific computer give?
To access the Till Assignment functions:
In POS, select File, select Customise POS from the dropdown, select Tills at the bottom of the window.
To assign a Till to a computer select the Till from the list within the Till Name window then select the Assign To My Computer tab and save.
For tracking purposes it is not desirable to have different users using the same till concurrently.
By assigning a Till to a computer, it will be used by default when a user logs in on that computer reducing the possibility of a user using the wrong Till in error.
Different tills also can have different contact details printing on receipts.
Assigning a Till to a computer means that a local receipt printer can be used without having to change settings each time you log in.
