Selling From A Bin
How do Bins interact with Purchase and Sales transactions?
Bins can be used to track the location of Inventory Items. A Bin can represent any location from a whole storage room to a position on a shelf, and Multiple Bins can be available for any products you buy or sell. When you buy or sell a product with Bins activated, you must know which bin the product is to be stored in or taken from. The allocation of the bin can be Automatic or Manual at the time of the transaction depending on the settings you have chosen.
- From the Main screen select the Sales module
- Select the Invoice button
- Select a Customer from the drop down list
- Select a Product that has Bins turned on
- Click on the Allocation column
- If bin allocation is set to Automatic the bin will have been allocated.
- If bin allocation is set to Manual you can choose the bin from the drop down list of available bins.
- If Automatic you can overide the allocation by selecting another bin
