0 Installation Steps

Installation of ERP Software
Before installing ERP on your Server please check the following system requirments.

  • Minimum of 4 Gig space on C Drive
  • An Internet Connection
  • Firewalls in windows and Virus scanners must have exceptions for Ports 3309 and 3310.
  • Your Router must have Port 49500 open for 2 way communication with MySQL.


Server Installation

  • Insert the ERP installation DVD which will Auto Run and take you to the ERP Installer Screen.
  • Or load the ERP Install folder onto your server and select the setup.exe file.
  • From the ERP Installer screen select the top Install Server button and ERP will load
  • Click OK when the Install Complete box appears.
  • The ERP Software Suite and all of its components our now installed on you Server

User Installation

  • Load the DVD or the Install folder on to each workstation
  • Type in the Server name.
  • This can be found on your Server by Right Clicking My Computer - Properties - Computer Name
  • Un-Tick the Install Videos box in the bottom left corner if you don't want to load the Training Videos on to the workstation
  • Select the Install User Button
  • Click Setup when prompted to install the PDF writer
  • Teamviewer will automatically be installed which enables the workstation to be remotely accessed for software support.
  • Notify your ERP Software provider the Server name to run a Licence Check to enable ERP.

Setup Clients Company

  • Select the ERP Icon on your desktop and the ERP Setup Wizard will open with steps 1-12 and a training Video for each step.
  • Select Setup Clients Company to set up a sample company for testing and training before Going Live
  • Type in all of your company details and select Save

Export Sample Data

The best way to Import your data is to Export some sample data so the format can be used to Import your existing company data into ERP

  • Select Export Sample Data which will create 4 samples of Data - Accounts, Customers, Products and Suppliers
  • Select Ok at the prompt and the ERP Data Export/Import menu will open
  • The Accounts radio button will already be selected
  • Name and select the folder to save the import file to E.g Desktop and select Export and Ok at the prompt.
  • By Default Customers then Products and then Suppliers will already be selected as the process is repeated.
  • The 4 Exported files will now be saved to your Desktop in csv Format
  • Double click on the Exported files to open the spreadsheets in your default program E.g Excell
  • You can now view the sample data and note the Column Headers which Must remain the same.
  • Keep the first few lines of Sample Data for reference and format purposes and then delete the rest of the sheet
  • Copy your existing data into the Correct Columns and make any other changes you want.
  • Save the spread sheet ready for Import into ERP
  • Repeat this process for all of the Exported Files

Import Client Data

  • Select Import Client Data and the Accounts radio button will be selected ready for import.
  • Select the correct File and then the Import button to bring accross the new data.
  • If ERP has any problems importing it will copy accross what it can and then make a Copy File with a number 1 at the end containing all of the items that had errors  E.g. Accounts-1.csv
  • Open the Import Errors box to view a list of errors and the reason why they could not be Imported.
  • Open the new file E.g. Accounts-1.csv and make the required changes to the spraedsheet listed in the Import Errors list and then Import this corrected file again.
  • Repeat this process for all 4 files  

Backup

The company is now set up with Clean Files ready for Going Live. The Accounts, Customer, Product and Supplier lists all have <span style="font-weight: bold;"</span>No Transactional 'Data and all testing and traininmg is done in the .

  • To perform a Backup simply select Backup.
  • The Backup file will automaticlly be saved to C Drive/ERP Software/Backup on your server
  • This file is then ready to be Restored when you Go Live.

Setup Training

You are now ready to Setup Training in your Sample Company

  • Select Setup Training and from the Training Setup screen select the Setup tab
  • From this Setup Screen use the Time Drop Downs to define your working day including any breaks and time allocated for reports.

Schedule

  • Select the Schedule button
  • Schedule your Training days by Right mouse clicking on the start date and then Auto Select  which will Schedule the Minimum 9 Days for training.
  • You can also either click on a Single Day or click and hold to select a Range Of Days to build your Training Schedule
  • If the range of selected dates runs through either a Saturday or Sunday use the Radio Button options to either Post, Drop or Shift After on your Schedule.

Employees

  • Select the Choose Employees For Training button to open the Employee List
  • Highlight the employees to be trained and select Close
  • Using the Tick Boxes select which Modules each employee is to be trained in
  • Select the Auto Schedule button and ERP will use this information to load the Training Roster

Roster

  • Select Roster to view and edit the Training Roster which will be colour coded according to the scheduled modules
  • To edit the training blocks either Hold and Drag to change the time or Highlight a block of time and Right click to select a module
  • If required Right click and select Insert Break to move everyones training along.
  • When the Roster has been edited select Save.

Status

  • Make sure each Employee on the Training Roster has been assigned a Login and Password
  • To assign a Login and Password open the employees card and select the Password button at the bottom of the screen and fill in the required fields.
  • Select the Access Level button to define the Access Levels for that employee
  • Select Training Status to view the assigned modules and progress of the logged on user.
  • Highlight a Module and then click on the green Watch Video button to view a training video on the selected module
  • Click on the Questions button to open a list of training questions that need to be Ticked Off on completion.
  • Select Show Video or the Help button for further information as you work through the questions until all Modules are completed.
  • Each Module Status field will change colour to Green on completion.

Progress

  • Select Training Progress to view the User training progress
  • Select the Show Training Progress of All Employees button to veiw other employess progress
  • From this screen you can also open the Training Roster and Training Status screen by using the bottons at the bottom of the page
  • If all of the Assigned Training modules have been completed the User will have a competent knowledge of ERP
