Tree Mode

Tree Mode - Can you explain how Tree Mode works?

In Tree Mode with each account there is + sign. Clicking + will open the sub accounts of it. For Example: Capital/Equity click + to view the sub accounts under Capital Equity. This will Expand the account and will show the accounts under it.

Clicking Expand at the bottom left will expand all accounts. This will show all sub accounts under any account. Contract All will revert it back to contract view.

In Tree Mode you will see following columns.

  • Account Name this is the name of the Main Account.
  • Account No this is the account number.
  • Type Balance this shows the total balance of the Main Account.
  • Level 1 this is the first sub account of the main
  • Level 2 this is the level 2 sub account.
  • Level 3 this is the level 3 sub account.
  • Acc Balance this shows the account balances of the sub accounts and the main account.
  • Total Balance Shows the total balance.
  • Tax Code This columns shows the Tax code associate to that particular account.
  • Tax Code Description gives the description of the Tax Code associated with that particular account.
  • BSB shows the bank BSB number.
  • Bank Acc No this shows the bank account number for that account, if any.
  • Description this gives the Account Description.
  • Bank Account Name this is the bank account name for the particular account.
  • Bank Number this shows the bank number.
  • Active will tell you whether the account is active Yes or not No.
  • Account Type show the type of account.

This Chart of Account can be Exported by clicking on the Export button at the bottom. By clicking New, new account can be created. Print will print the Chart of Accounts.

The advantage of Tree Mode is you can view your accounts in a tree structure. You can search any column in Tree Mode by selecting the Search Column and writing the required text in the Search Text.
