Why do we recommend that you have the "Use Batch Transaction For Reports" turned on?
Under the Speed tab there is an option "Use Batch Transaction For Reports". When selected, reports will use the data that was updated at the time the last Batch Update was run.
Batch Update checks that all tables have been updated for all transactions and can take a number of minutes to to run for a larger database. Using this preference speeds up reports for general use. If you ever have suspicions about the accuracy of a report the first thing to do is run a Batch Update. For critical financial reports you should always run a Batch Update<LinkId=535>
