Department Quantities
How do you view what stock is in what location?
Departments allow you to separate your Product List by Department (Cost Centre/Outlet); you are able to set different Price Levels by Department and Separate Stock levels by Department.
Refer Create Departments<LinkId=435> on how to set up a department.
When you create a purchase order you can assign the order to a Department by selecting the department from the drop down menu from the Department Column. (if you are unable to see the column then right mouse click on the grid below the headers of a purchase order and select Customise grid, tick the column form the list) When the purchase order is saved then the goods are received the stock will be assigned to that department.
When a product is sold select the Department from the drop down menu beside the Company Name field. (if the customer is set up with a default Department in their customer card this will default over to the Sales Order/Invoice Now when a product is sold through that department the stock levels will adjust accordingly
To view the stock levels as per Departments go to:
Inventory Select the product Go to quantities tab (from here you will see the breakdown of Departments and stock levels) You can also view levels by going to Reports then Stock Quantities & Location report and select All Departments
