5 Source Type

Source Type

Do you know the different ways to create a source type and how to allocate to a customer? Then can you view the source type from the Source List?

  • From the CRM module select the Source button
  • Enter a Source Description and Expense Account if there is a cost associated with the source
  • Estimated Cost (Ex) of the source
  • Select the Created Date from drop down calendar
  • Select the Inactive Date if required
  • The Active button automatically defaults to Active
  • Click on the New button to creat a new source or Cancel to escape and not save
  • To allocate a Source to a customer first ensure the Preference enforcing that the source is entered has been selected
  • You will find this under Utilities - Preferences - Sales make sure Disable Customer Source Tracking is Not ticked
  • Under the General Tab of the Customer card select a Source from the drop down menu.
  • Now in the Source List you will be able to see the numbers of clients from different sources
