Overview
How to Merge Records
In some circumstances you may need to merge two records on any one of the main lists. Accounts, Customers, Suppliers, products etc. It is not possible to simply change the name in the record file as this is a unique identifyer for each record. You must create a new record with the new name and merge the old record into it.
- Select Required List
- Hold down the control key (Ctrl) and select the Record name that you want to keep
- Continue to hold down the control key and select the account you want merged into the first account
- Once selected Right Click your mouse and select Merge
- You will then get a message confirming which record is to be merged into another.
- Select OK
