Overview
The ability to customise each Users Main Menu is a great advantage for most businesses. Having the means to display only the Modules and Buttons that are required by each individual user, assists in the efficiency of each user of your ERP program. Why have a multitude of buttons distracting your focus on what you really need to concentrate on? For the staff members who process your Customer orders, you can display the Sales Module and relevant buttons for effective processing within your business. The same principle applies to your Accounts and Purchasing divisions, and any other specialised area within your Company.
As every business is unique, the requirements will differ from one business to the next. This is why the Main Switch/Menu has been designed to be fully customisable. It has been brilliantly designed for simplicity of use, to ensure all of your staff members (with Access Levels to do so), will be capable of altering the view of their own screen if required.
The Customise button is conveniently located on the main screen no matter which Module you have selected.
How To Customise the Main Menu
- Open your ERP database.
- The display will default to the Sale Module.
- Select the 'Customise' button at the bottom of the screen.
NB: The 'Customise' button is accessible/viewable from within All Modules
- On the left of screen, 'Select menu category' this list contains "All Available Buttons" for selection.
- On the right of screen, 'Selected Buttons', this list displays those buttons already loaded onto the selected page.
- To load one of the buttons from the Available Buttons onto your chosen page, you will need to highlight the button,
e.g. Access Level, and then click on the single-arrow forward key, or 'Drag and Drop' the button using your left mouse click.
- This will load the 'Access Level' button onto the 'Accounts' tab, being the 'Select Page to Customise'.
- This principal works the same in reverse, i.e. Right to Left
- Selecting the double-arrow forward key will populate all Buttons in the 'Selected menu category' list, e.g. All buttons
from 'Assessment' will load into the 'Accounts' tab in the example below.
- This principal works the same in reverse, i.e. Right to Left
- You can move the position of any 'Selected Button' by highlighting the button to be moved and using the up and down
hand buttons to move the position in the list, e.g. move 'Profit & Loss' to the top of the list.
- To 'Add' pages/tabs, select the 'Add; button.
- Enter the page name into the 'New page name' field that loads, e.g. 'Warehouse Screen'.
- Select 'OK'.
- The new page will auto load into the 'Select page to customise' section ready for the selection of required buttons.
- Select the buttons required on your new page as per instructions above, either one button at a time, or all buttons
from specific tab/s.
- The customised Main Menu can then be copied to different employees by using the 'Copy To…' tab
- Select the Employee/s from the drop-down list that you wish to 'Copy To…'.
- Select 'OK'.
- Your Main Switch/Menu will now include the Warehouse Screen tab with the selected buttons for that tab.
- Note that there is now a vertical scroll bar. Due to the number of tabs in this list, it does not fit on screen therefore
the scroll-bar enables you to place as many tabs as you like and still have easy access to them all.
- If you wish to revert back to the default Main Switch menu simply select the 'Default' button found within the
Customise Main Menu screen.
- The Main Menu will now consist of the original ERP default settings.
NB: The newly created 'Warehouse Screen' tab will no longer exist if the default button is selected.
