Lost Connection

Overview
If you get this message box: This means your pc has lost connection to your server
You will then get this box - Click New and enter the name of your server
Click on Test which will give you a message confirming connection OK
Click Save
If the error keeps persisting the problem could be the server is going into sleep mode
- to fix this issue follow the steps below:
Go to Start => Control Panel
Select System
Then select Hardware tab - then OK
Then Select Device Manager then OK
Expand the Network Adapters and double click on your controller or right mouse click then properties
Select Power Management- Then OK
Now untick Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power then select ok
- this will now reset the computer network
Now also check the Fire wall connection - Go back to the Control Panel and select Windows
Firewall.
If the fire wall is turned off no action is required but we suggest you create the exceptions anyway.
If Firewall is turned on then you will need to allow some exceptions - these exceptions are for
MySQL and ERP.
If the ports are not already there then you will need to create them by selecting Add Port.
Create Port Number 3309 for ERP
and Port Number 3310 for MySQL as follows
Next if required
Right mouse click in the middle of your screen and select properties - then select Screen Saver
Then go into Power management
Ensure that the Hardrives do not turn off, but ensure you have a screen saver active.
Lastly go into Start =>Control Panel and if you have any Virus scans running ensure the firewall settings
have also been given exceptions to Port 3309 and 3310
Now go to your ERP icon and open up the programe if the following message box appears select Reconnect
Ensuring that all the databases are on the same Version. If any are in brackets the user version does not
match the server and will require updating.
How to test all is working go to Start=>explore=>Programe Files=> ERP Software=>Connection.ini
All server names should be the same
If they are not then the error message will appear again so you need to ensure you have the
Correct computer/server name
Go to Start =>my computer double click or Right mouse click to select System Properties
